Ready to homeschool Fourth Grade language arts? My goal is to guide you step-by-step through the process of learning to use the free, high-quality language arts curriculum from Core Knowledge to homeschool your student.
What is Language Arts? Language arts is a broad term referring to a variety of subjects including reading, spelling, composition, penmanship, grammar, language mechanics, punctuation, vocabulary, literature, and literary skills.
What Will Your Student Learn in Fourth Grade? Your student will continue to improve their grammar, morphology, spelling, and reading comprehension skills. They’ll practice researching topics and writing stories, reports, summaries, descriptions, and poetry. Along the way they’ll be exposed to a variety of famous speeches, poetry, and works of fiction including well known stories and myths. They will hear famous literary works including the Legends of King Arthur and the Round Table, Paul Revere’s Ride, Gulliver’s Travels, the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Robin Hood, and Treasure Island.
